Y'noe, everytime i "nlownload" some supposedly "funnie singlish podcast" or listen to any "singlish joke" on air, I brace myself for yet another round in which singaporeans insult their... let's call it "less exposed"... fellow citizen of my city.
Sure, provided, some of e kopitiam mindsets and (mis)pronounciations are genuinely worth a gag when exaggerated or smth but. "eh, can nlunn go owerbord not can..." It's nt tt funnie when you think of it as an elitist practice. Unrefined as they are, they ARE your fellow countrymen and, to some, your reflection b4 you began your journey through some ghastly education regime.
I mean, I'm not telling you to be all hypocrite and pretentious and smlj. I'm jt saying: DON'T CONFUSE BETWEEN SINGLISH JOKES AND DUMB BLONDE JOKES CAN?
