Is abortion right? It's nv guud to give up 1/2way, though some exceptions depend on the object you're aborting.

In an everyday topic sense of the word, of course, we're talking abt the conscious induction of a miscarriage by a pregnant woman in the earliest stages of her pregnancy.

Is it right then? Regulars of this realm of debate would be familiar with the calling of such action immoral, murderous, dui bu qi tian, di, liang xin.

One of the typical AS classmates of mine mentioned a categorical syllogism somewhere along the line of this following:

(!)All killing of innocent human beings are immoral and should not be allowed.
(!)Foetuses are innocent human beings.
>>>Abortion is immoral and should not be allowed.

After a quarrel abt it being too strict to be infallible, because the class'd alr, in earlier lessons, established tt it's sometimes somewhat permissible to allow for the case of killing of man's own kind, like in the case of capital punishment, self-defence, stuff like tt. In the end, we refined it somewhat...

(!)Most murdering of innocent human beings are wrong.
(!)Foetuses are innocent human beings.
>>>Abortion is wrong.

This time round, however, the stand isn't as strong, we can only ascertain that abortion's wrong most of the time. Of course, me bads for being unable to rmb the original wordings of tt guy's arguement, hence risking adding meanings and, thus, loopholes he hadn't intended...

Pple like kind-hearted Meixi always has a fight for women raped. You've gotta wonder...

However, I cldnt really join in... y'see, I was at the other end of the scales. No, nobody cld pride in a statement tt abortion's "right", in any sane case... but I'd tell you why I believe it's always permissible.

Wish I cld have a chance to listen to pple loudly rebutt my stand if I were to state tt

(!)If a human cannot or doesn't want to do something, then he/she will not care for it.
(!)A baby not taken care of will still suffer and die eventually.

With modus pronens, we get

>>>If a human cannot or doesn't want a baby, then the baby will suffer and die.
(!)All voluntary abortions happen because the mother cannot, or doesn't want to, have the baby.
>>>Abortion is always permissible.

In this case, I've not only proved you how it is permissible to have unwilling mothers abort their unwilling babies, I've also unwittingly shown you how it's more "right", from a utilitarian point of view, since it reduces the suffering caused to both the mother and the growth within her.

oOo... smu helps~
